Simulation experiment on the influence of the flow state of molten steel flowing into the mold from the immersion nozzle.
In the thermal fluid analysis of the continuous casting machine mold, we conducted a thermal fluid analysis related to the continuous casting equipment in steelmaking plants. We faithfully modeled the mold and immersion nozzle to reproduce the flow within the molten steel bath, which is extremely important for controlling the thickness of the solidification shell and reducing non-metallic inclusions, making it an essential requirement for high-speed casting equipment. In this analysis, we simulated the impact of the flow of molten steel entering the mold from the immersion nozzle, as shown in the diagram below. For more details, please download the catalog.
